1.  HOW LONG ARE THE VISITS?

We offer 15 to 20  minute dog walks, 20 minute visits for birds, rabbits and other pets. Our visits vary in duration according to the needs of our clients.

2.  IS THERE AN INTERVIEW PROCESS?

Yes. We prefer to interview “the parent and their pet prior to retaining them as a client. We want to be sure that you and your pet are comfortable with us and that we all interact well together.

3.  WHAT IS OUR BACKGROUND?

All of our sitters are animal lovers and multiple pet owners. We have attended several seminars for animal care. All employees are bonded and insured.

4.  WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PET IS IN YOUR CARE THERE IS AN EMERGENCY?

We keep an up-to-date database of all possible contacts for each pet: home and work phone numbers, mobile  numbers, veterinary phone numbers and addresses, a well as phone numbers and addresses of close friends relatives, neighbors, etc. All sitters are required to keep clients information with them at all times. Any pertinent information that you feel we should have is kept updated and on file.

5.  WILL MY PET HAVE THE SAME PET SITTER ALL THE TIME?

Yes, if at all possible. We prefer that each sitter stay with their respective clients. We get just as attached the pets as they do to us. There will be occasions when your pet sitter is sick or on vacation. On those occasions will we substitute another sitter.

6.  I ALREADY HAVE A PET SERVICE PROVIDER - why should I switch to Happy at Home?

Happy at Home is a professional pet service organization. As such, we employ people who are all proficient at caring for your pet. While many pet service providers are capable, responsible individuals, they often cannot offer you services 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

7.  WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BECOMING A HAPPY AT HOME CLIENT

All new clients must schedule an interview priorto becoming a Happy at Home client. The purpose of the interview is to gather information about your pet, his home, his personality and routine and to explain in detail how we operate. The entire interview takes between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.

8.  WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE DOES HAPPY AT HOME CARRY?

We carry bonding insurance on all of our employees as well as an 

umbrella liability policy. This is done through the National Association of Pet Sitters

9.  WHAT KIND OF PAYMENT DOES HAPPY AT HOME ACCEPT?

We accept cash, check and bank draft. We also are able to deliver all of our invoices via e-mail.

10.  WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

For our regular mid-day clients , we require a 24 hour advance notice to cancel an appointment and not be responsible for the charge.

11.  WHERE ARE THE WALKS CONDUCTED?

We use a variety of parks and trails in our clients neighborhood. Areas where your pets can secure and comfortable. You Happy at Home representative will be able to give exchange more information on the specific parks in your area during the registration interview.

12. I CANT TAKE TIME FROM WORK, BUT MY ANIMAL NEED TO GO TO THE VET. CAN HAPPY AT HOME HELP?

Yes! Our pet taxi can take your dog to the vet and bring him home after the appointment. 24 hours notice is ideal, but in an emergency we can make arrangements to accommodate your
